Who We Are Australian Defence Credit Union, established in 1959, is a financial
co-operative for members of the Australian Defence Force, civilian employees of
the Department of Defence, Defence contractors and their families. However other people are welcome to join.
Board The Board
of our Credit Union comprises seven directors elected by the members.
Directors are elected for a three year term. So normally, about one
third of the Board is elected at each Annual General Meeting.
The Board elects its own Chair and office bearers. The Chief
Executive Officer is the Secretary of the Board and attends Board
Meetings.
Constitution Each member is both a customer and a shareholder. New members are required to purchase one $2.00 refundable share. Shareholding provides the right to vote on issues concerning your Credit Union. Australian Defence Credit Union has established a constitution and requirements which new applicants must meet.
