Verified by Visa is an online security service that authenticates your identity every time you make an online purchase with participating retailers.

The enhanced online service gives you the added assurance that no one but you can use your ADCU Visa credit and debit cards online as well as help prevent fraud when you use your cards to make online purchases.

Already, more than 355 million Visa cardholders worldwide have registered for this service and the security it offers.

Each time you make an online purchase with a participating online retailer or merchant, the Verified by Visa program will automatically assess the risk level of the transaction as either low, moderate or high.

Unless Verified by Visa detects a certain degree of risk with your transaction, you won't even notice it working behind the scenes to protect your card while shopping online.

Certain activity may seem out of the ordinary i.e. high dollar value transactions or transacting with a retailer you have never dealt with before. In these instances a screen will pop up and you will be asked to confirm your personal details.

• the name embossed on your card
• your ADCU member number
• your ADCU Visa credit or debit card number
• your date of birth
